Our Mission

Our mission is to unite in a sisterhood qualified business and professional women who will encourage, inspire, nurture, and assist persons engaged in business vocations.

 
 

Our History

Lola Mercedes Parker had a dream. On June 1, 1929, that dream became Iota Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc., the first African-American sorority for business and professional women. Iota Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc. strives to create space for Black women to prosper in the business and professional landscape.

 

1929

Iota Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc. was founded in Chicago, Illinois

 

 

1931

Gamma chapter was chartered in Washington, D.C.

 

 
 

2018

Delta Phi chapter was chartered at Howard University
